Guidance, not a guarantee

WC300 route information is provided for inspiration and planning guidance only.

Road conditions, ferry services, weather, opening hours, access routes, parking, public transport and local restrictions can change quickly.

Check before travelling

Before setting off, travellers should check current weather warnings, road updates, ferry timetables, accommodation availability, attraction opening times, fuel availability and local safety information.

This is especially important during winter, poor weather, ferry disruption, roadworks or when travelling through remote areas.

Driving and road conditions

Some roads may be narrow, winding, single-track, exposed, steep or affected by livestock, cyclists, walkers, weather or limited visibility.

Drive according to the conditions, use passing places properly, allow extra time and do not rely solely on sat nav.

Outdoor access and personal safety

Walks, viewpoints, beaches, hills, coastal areas and remote stops may involve uneven ground, changing weather, poor signal, tides or other hazards.

You are responsible for assessing your own ability, equipment, clothing, timing and safety.

Businesses and services

WC300 may list businesses, attractions, accommodation, food and drink venues, transport services and other third parties.

Inclusion on WC300 does not guarantee availability, suitability, safety, quality, pricing or opening hours at the time of your visit.

Local responsibility

Please travel with care, respect local communities, park responsibly, follow local guidance, avoid blocking access, take litter home and protect the landscapes that make the route special.
