The WC300 teaches you to travel deliberately — but Mull & Iona ask something slightly different. Not less movement, but a change in how that movement feels.
Mull is an island of flow. Roads curve and stretch without urgency, skirting sea lochs and open water, never quite asking to be rushed. The landscape feels expansive rather than dramatic — generous in scale, calm in its confidence. Wildlife appears without ceremony. Light shifts constantly. You are still travelling, still exploring, but the journey feels unforced.
Then comes Iona.
The crossing is short, yet the change is immediate. The road gives way to footpaths. Distance gives way to presence. Iona is small enough to hold in a single glance, yet powerful enough to quiet the internal noise that even the WC300 leaves behind. It is not a place that demands attention; it simply absorbs it.
Together, Mull and Iona create a natural counterpoint within the WC300+ experience: movement followed by stillness, exploration followed by arrival. Not a slowdown — a rebalancing.

Spring Work Week 2027 is a six-night Iona Abbey programme combining practical seasonal projects with worship, shared meals and island time. Guests work alongside the Abbey community to help prepare the site for the season ahead.
